From Bach to Bruno Mars, a practical journey through the big names of music: how do they do it, and what you can do with it

In this subject we are going to turn music inside out. It is not just about learning those outstanding aspects and names in every style (both classical and modern), but also about learning and using the basic elements of music,

its relationship with images through the techniques used in soundtrack scores. In oher words, it is about how to listen and develop musical taste and knowledge, and how to apply it in other fields, using English as working language.


Objetivos de Aprendizaje


  • To know and use the appropriate terminology, concepts and names of the Music Theory/History and its different styles
  • To revise the most important genres in popular music, its most notorious representatives and instruments used
  • To analyse and learn the communicative aspect of soundtracks, related concepts and most important composers
  • To learn the basics of the most important programs and apps related to sound treatment and music
  • To learn the possibilities of music as a potential content to be used in different professional fields

MODULE 3

  • THE HISTORY OF CLASSICAL MUSIC. Middle Ages, Renaissance and 17th century. Vivaldi and Bach
  • THE HISTORY OF CLASSICAL MUSIC. The 18th century: Haydn and Mozart
  • THE HISTORY OF CLASSICAL MUSIC. Romantic music and beyond: Beethoven, Schumann, Wagner, Mahler
  • THE HISTORY OF CLASSICAL MUSIC. The adaptation phase: impressionists ans non-tonal music
