Transversal Subjects Program

The transversal subjects program is Nebrija University’s own degree.

With this new program, you will acquire other complementary knowledge, but equally necessary in the labor market. At the end of your studies at Nebrija, you will be able to apply for job offers advantageously over other candidates, since you will also have knowledge about different disciplines.

Program Features

  • It is a voluntary program with no added cost.
  • There is continuous evaluation (no exams), and is based on your attendance -which is mandatory- and the activities you carry out.
  • When you enroll, you must choose one of the 4 itineraries.
  • In order to pass and obtain a diploma, you need to pass 18 ECTS credits from the same itinerary.
  • Each subject passed gives you 6 ECTS credits.
  • The subjects are yearly, they are taught one day a week (except the basic subjects of a bachelor's degree*).
  • You can choose any subject, regardless of the year in which you are enrolled.
  • Upon completion, you are provided with a diploma specifying your area of specialization.
  • In the case of choosing the 4th "open" itinerary, your diploma will not specify any area.
  • If you are a 1st-year student: you can choose an itinerary and enroll in one of its subjects.
  • If you are a 2nd, 3rd and 4th-year student: all passed ECTS credits from the previous interdisciplinary learning courses (ILC) are recognized, and you can also take the course you want. Just keep in mind that, in this case, we will include you in the Open Transversal Itinerary, and there you can choose which course you want to take and enroll in it.
  • The transversal subjects do not have an extraordinary call or honors, they are passed by attendance and participation in class and submitting activities, except for the basic bachelor's degree subjects, which have a partial and final exam. The basic bachelor's degree subjects are identified with an *.
  • Subjects from this program will not be recognized as subjects outside of it, with the exception of the aforementioned case of interdisciplinary learning course (ILC). Likewise, subjects of this diploma will not be recognized as subjects that students take within their bachelor's degree curriculum, even if these are the same as the basic bachelor's degree subjects offered in the program.

Itineraries, subjects and schedules

You will have the opportunity to take a training itinerary
and thus specialize in one of the following areas of knowledge:

4. Open Transversal

* Basic bachelor's degree subject, dependent on the schools. It lasts a semester, and the schedule will depend on their respective bachelor's degree, as well as their evaluation and methodology. They will have a partial and final exam, and any activities deemed appropriate by the professor will be required.

1 Schedule for the Bachelor's Degree in Adiovisual Communication: Monday from 12 to 2 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

2 Schedule for the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics: Monday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

3 Schedule for the Bachelor's Degree in Business Creation, Administration and Management: Monday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 4pm and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
