It is an English level test that has the international recognition of over 9,000 institutions throughout the world. Universities in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada request it from people whose country of origin does not have English as an official language in order to study their degrees, and the same is true in the workplace in places like New Zealand, Canada and Australia.
In Spain, its recognition has grown in recent years and it is already officially accepted by most universities and autonomous communities for accrediting the levels of the Common European Framework, from A2 to C2.
In addition, at Nebrija University, within the International Mobility Program, the IELTS is one of the two accepted exams to apply for international mobility in those universities where classes are taught in English (which are not only found in the United States and the United Kingdom, but also in Asia, Australia and Europe).
The Institute of Modern Languages organizes the course “Resources and preparation strategies for the IELTS exam”, which is designed to improve personal skills in this exam that allows one to obtain an official English level accreditation.
The course, which is open to all those interested in obtaining the IELTS certification, is especially aimed at those students who are interested in participating in the International Mobility Programs, given that it is one of the necessary requirements to pursue an international stay at universities in which they teach in English.
The intensive IELTS preparation course is designed for participants to familiarize themselves with the format of this English level test and with the different documents used, and to improve their skills in this exam.
