Teaching foreign languages to children and adolescents requires knowledge of both the age-related factors involved in the process of learning and using the language, as well as the most appropriate methodological approaches for effective teaching aimed at these groups.
In this course, these factors and approaches will be analyzed, the main techniques and didactic resources for teaching SFL to children and adolescents will be worked on, and didactic proposals for classroom management and the development of the communicative competence of children and adolescents will be proposed.
The course is approached from a constructivist approach centered on the learner from the global concept of "learning by doing". It promotes both individual work and communication and collaboration with other course participants, in addition to solving tasks and participating in forums. The activities will be carried out both individually and collaboratively. It is intended to promote the autonomy of the participants and develop strategies so that they are capable of autonomously solving the difficulties that may arise once the course is finished.
