Basic Competences

• Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or an opportunity for being original in the development and/or application of ideas, often in a research context.
• That the students know how to apply the acquired knowledge and their problem-solving capacity in new or little known settings within the broadest (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study.
• That the students are capable of integrating knowledge and confronting the complexity of formulating judgments from information that, being incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities related to the application of their knowledge and judgments.

• That the students are capable of applying techniques and strategies in order to lead projects that are conditioned by International Business Law.
• That the students are capable of evaluating and criticizing business projects in the area of International Business Law.
• That the students are capable of understanding and dominating the formulation, the bases and good practices of planning of a project, in regards to: scope, time, cost, resources, supply, communications, concerned persons and risks in the area of International Business Law.
• That the students are capable of categorizing the internal and external conflicts, in the area of International Business Law.

Specific Competences

• Explain, define and apply the specific object, the evolution, the characters and the principles and rules of International Business Law.
• Compare and apply corporate legislation in relation to multinational business, both in Spain and on the European and world level.
• Distinguish, categorizing and interpreting the differences existing between the competitive business environment of Europe and America, as well as the repercussion of such differences on the legislation applicable to the daily operations of a company.
• Assess and interpret the characteristics, peculiarities and limitations of the principal international contractual figures within international commerce, for their professional application.
• Evaluate and integrate professionally the main procedures and the monetary, banking and fiscal organizations of the international business environment.
• Use and interpret the specific and international legal regime, applicable during the mergers and acquisitions of companies and groups of companies.
• For their professional application, associate the guiding principles of corporate social responsibility in international areas, in view of achieving good management and leadership of a multinational company.
• With high specialization, apply the theoretical knowledge to the practical cases for the legal counselling of subjects and actors on international business, in relation to the set of intellectual and industrial property laws applicable to environments of high technological development.
• Develop and apply legal counselling assessing the different channels of possible solutions for tending the principal conflicts in which a company operating in the international business setting may find itself.
• Apply and demonstrate the knowledge and other competences acquired in the Master’s Degree, to the implementation of advanced research work, in the area of International Business Law.

Admission

Access

As established in article 16 of RD 1393/2007, modified by RD 861/2010, students who meet any of the following conditions may access these studies:

• Have an official Spanish university degree or other degree issued by an institution of higher education of the European Higher Education Area that authorizes access to Master's degree studies in the country issuing said degree.
• Graduates in accordance with educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area may access without the need to validate their degrees, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that they grant access to postgraduate education in the country issuing the degree. Access through this route will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous held by the interested party, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of taking the Master's degree teachings. In the cases in which the validation of any degree, diploma or study obtained abroad is required to access the University, Antonio de Nebrija University may conditionally admit students who accredit having submitted the corresponding application for homologation while the approval procedure is resolved.
• In the case of students with special educational needs derived from disability, the need for possible curricular adaptations, itineraries or alternative studies will be assessed.

Foreign students:

• Certified photocopy of the official degree issued by a foreign higher education institution belonging to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that authorizes, in the issuing country, access to official master's degree education.
• Certified photocopy of the official degree issued in a foreign education system not belonging to the EHEA. In this case, access will be conditioned to the verification that the studies completed correspond to a level of training equivalent to that of the official Spanish university degrees, and that they grant access official master's degrees in the country in which the degree has been issued. This procedure does not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous degree, nor its recognition for any purpose other than to access the master's degree studies.
• Only if necessary, the foreign student will be asked for a letter issued by the University in which he has completed the studies that grant access to the Master's degree. In the event that the studies with which the pre-registration of the Master's degree is accessed are taken in a Foreign Higher Education institution, both the degree and the academic record (grades) must be official and issued by the competent authorities, in accordance with the legal system of the country of origin.

If the number of applicants exceeds the number of places offered, the student's academic record will be taken as admission criteria (average grade).

Admission Process

In addition to the evaluation of the academic merits provided by the candidate, students must take the following tests that are part of the admission process:

• 1.- Spanish language level test
  In order to know the students' real level of knowledge of the foreign language, the Institute of Modern Languages carries out a language positioning test. The level tests consist of a written exam with multiple-choice questions, oral and written comprehension, and use of the language. They are taken in person or online.
  It will not be necessary for the candidate to take the language positioning test if he or she submits certification that proves the knowledge of a foreign or Spanish language at the B2 level of the CEFR. The accreditation of the level will be validated through the official degree in the table of certificates admitted by ACLES and/or Instituto Cervantes. It is valid for one year
• 2.- Personal interview
  Held by the Director of the Program or by University advisors, this interview is aimed at verifying the suitability of the candidate and his/her profile in relation to the degree. It is about determining if the candidate has sufficient motivation, training and knowledge, skills, aptitudes, communication skills, extracurricular activities and future interests necessary to be admitted as a student in the postgraduate courses of Nebrija University.
