The Ferrer Dalmau Art History Foundation, in collaboration with Nebrija University, has developed the first Master's Degree in Painting with historical and narrative content in Spain
This exclusive program, which lasts one academic year, is a highly specialized artistic master's degree for training in the practice of figurative and realistic painting, a fundamental starting point for the creation of unprecedented pictorial images, which investigate, interpret and highlight the importance of facts, both past and present, of the history of Spain.
Participants will learn how to successfully carry out narrative and historical painting projects from Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau, promoter of the program and example in Spain of a pictorial genre, that of history and military painting.
Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau Nieto (Barcelona, January 20, 1964) is a Spanish painter with a realistic and academic style, specializing in history and battle painting. In many cases, he portrays various aspects and periods of the Spanish Armed Forces with great naturalism and attention to detail. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary (Seville) and has received numerous distinctions and awards, including the Order of Isabella the Catholic.

Led by Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau, the faculty is made up of great active artists who keep the flame of the great European academic tradition alive, bringing back professional and workshop drawing and painting that aims to contribute new narratives to contemporary painting.
In this first edition, a maximum of 15 participants will enjoy a personal space as a studio, with free access outside school hours, both during the week and on weekends.
More than 17 editions of the Master's Degree in Art Market and Related Business Management, a pioneer in the Spanish university environment, with 5 editions promoting contemporary art through the Nebrija Acquisition Awards, endorse the development and specialization of the Department of Arts, which includes the Bachelor's Degrees in Fine Arts, Digital and Multimedia Design, Fashion Design and Performing Arts.

La pintora María Bisbal es experta en el campo del retrato contemporáneo. Cultiva un estilo directo y personal. Su obra se encuentra en numerosas colecciones privadas y públicas como la RAE, el Senado y el ICAM.
Pintora figurativa y retratista afincada en Madrid. Desde 2008 su obra explora la representación del cuerpo y la identidad coincidiendo con su trabajo y formación como asistente del pintor Hernán Cortés Moreno. En 2007 se licencia en Bellas Artes en la UCM donde recibe una beca de colaboración en el Departamento de Escultura en 2006 y una beca Erasmus en la Scuola di Disegno del Politecnico di Milano (2005/06).
Ha pintado retratos para la RAE (Darío Villanueva), la UNED (Alejandro Tiana), el Consejo de Estado (Francisco Rubio Llorente), el Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte (Ángel Gabilondo) o el Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (Antonio Hernández-Gil). Además ha realizado numerosos encargos a particulares.
Con su obra ha participado en exposiciones colectivas como Transmisión del Proceso Creativo (Centro Arts Santa Mònica. Barcelona, 2013), La New Gallery (Madrid, 2014), la Bienal de Artes Plásticas Ciudad de Albacete (2016) o Artistas Descrito (C.C. San Clemente.Toledo, 2018). De manera individual ha expuesto en La Cámara Bufa de Toledo (2021), en Pepe Herrera (2013) y en la Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación (2019).

Desde la Coordinación docente ha organizado jornadas de orientación profesional y proyectos expositivos autogestionados. Imparte talleres sobre autoedición en el arte contemporáneo.

Admission Requirements
Visual artists, both professional and amateur painters, lovers of painting and recent graduates of Fine Arts who wish to research and highlight the importance of relevant and significant episodes in the History of Spain through the construction of their own images.
Employability
The Master's degree offers each participant a personal space as a painting studio, with free access 24 hours a day, including on weekends, so that they can optimally carry out the required exercises, their pictorial work, and grow as artists. In this space, the participants will also receive criticism and lessons from the professors, as a professional dialogue, and will be able to dedicate quality time to the practice of painting in a privileged and exclusive environment. Both the exclusive dedication and the high artistic demand of the Master's degree will enable the student to create images applicable not only to the development of their own professional work, as a painter of portraits and historical narratives, but also in the development of contents of illustration, graphic novels, Concept Art and Graphics for videogames, as well as the creation of characters, environments and vehicles for digital animation.
