Program that allows the development of competences for the diagnosis and treatment of the main malocclusions. The program allows you to train in research and/or allows you to work in dental clinics, performing diagnostic work and treatment of patients who need orthodontic treatment.
The Master's degree includes the collaboration of several experienced specialists in different areas of odontology and medicine, who transmit their knowledge in the conferences and seminars that are held throughout the academic year, many of them at the San Rafael Hospital.
The San Rafael-Nebrija Center, linked to the San Juan de Dios Hospital Order, offers specialized training in Orthodontics through the Master's Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
The program develops competences for the diagnosis and treatment of the main malocclusions, as well as the participation in multidisciplinary treatments in complex cases, in addition to contemplating the realization of research in the field of orthodontics that will be submitted as oral presentations and/or articles for dental scientific journals, which will allow the student to continue training in research.
“The Master's Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics presented by Nebrija University and the San Rafael-Nebrija University Center for Health Sciences allows the student to have extensive training in all fields of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, from the use of functional appliances, classical orthodontic techniques such as bioprogressive treatment, and other more current such as straight arch, orthodontic treatment mechanics, self-ligating, transparent and lingual orthodontics and the combination of orthodontics and orthognathic surgery.
The content of the curriculum is broad and encompasses, as indicated above, the most commonly used techniques in Orthodontics. The realization of preclinical and clinical internships provides a complete training of the enrolled students”.
In order to facilitate the practical application of the theory learned, this Master's degree offers a complete program of over 20 hours per week of internships in dental clinics in the private sector.
