Energy management tools Practical and solid training on the techniques and tools that professionals in the energy sector need to handle: legislation, consumption, energy resources, renewable technologies, energy self-consumption, energy saving and efficiency, project financing, climate change, ISO 50001, etc. IT Tools The computer tools that are the subject of the Master's degree are: PVGIS (Location and calculation of the solar resource), PVsyst (Software for the calculation and sizing of photovoltaic energy installations), WindFarm (Software for the design and calculation of wind farms).Technical and economic analysis of energy projects with Excel, Analysis of power plants with EES (Engineering Equation Solver), AUTOCAD (Design of renewable energy plants), Retscreen (Management of renewable energies), C3x and HULC (Calener Unified Leading Tool) for energy certification studies of buildings and industry and other software for modelling the energy resource. Internship in companies The Master’s Degree in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency incorporates as part of its training project a period of Professional Internships in Companies, Consultancy Firms or Organisations related to the energy sector. Its aim is to complete the training of the students through the application, in a real environment, of the skills and knowledge acquired in the Master’s Degree. Employment guidance Job search plan, preparation of CVs, job search techniques, preparation of job interviews, etc. Real practical cases Evaluation of the wind resource in different locations. Calculation and preliminary design of a wind/mini-wind farm. Evaluation of the solar resource at different sites. Calculation and design of solar thermal energy installations (DHW, heating, heated swimming pool, solar cooling, etc.). Calculation and design of renewable self-consumption installations (photovoltaic, mini-wind, etc.). Financing model for renewable energy projects. Budget and start-up of a biomass plant.
