This program is designed to help students understand the implications of generative AI in Architecture and creative disciplines. It focuses on learning through various tools based on text, images, and video.
The integration of artificial intelligence in the creative field is radically transforming the way content is designed and produced. In the field of architecture, generative AI is revolutionizing how architects and designers conceive, define, and present their projects. This paradigm shift justifies the creation of the Diploma in Generative AI for Content Creation and Design for several key reasons:
- Innovation in Architectural Design: Generative AI enables architects and designers to explore a much wider range of possibilities in design. Tools are available to facilitate the rapid creation of visualizations and renderings, allowing architects and designers to experiment with shapes, materials, and concepts more efficiently and creatively.
- Expanded Productivity in the Design Process: The automatic generation of visual content and 3D models significantly streamlines the design process, reducing the time needed to go from conceptualization to final presentation. This not only saves time but also frees architects and designers to focus on the more creative and strategic aspects of their work.
- Customization and Adaptability: Generative AI tools enable the creation of customized and adaptive designs that respond to specific client needs and environmental contexts. For example, the ability to generate multiple variations of a design based on different parameters allows architects to offer more precise and personalized solutions.
This journey is structured into three major blocks, with an eminently practical vision:
- Introduction to AI: Students will learn about the history of this technology, which began in the 1960s. They will grasp the basic concepts and understand how AI has evolved over time, going through various stages such as Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and currently, Generative AI.
- Developing Competences in Generative AI for Language: Students will acquire knowledge about the fundamentals of large language models (LLMs) and their application in text generation using advanced tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Additionally, text extraction techniques from documents using retrieval-augmented systems (RAG) will be explored.
- Training in Generative AI for Images: The course includes extensive training in diffusion models and their applications in image generation. Students will learn to use tools such as DALL-E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion to create innovative and high-quality visual content. The generation of architectural renders with LookX will also be addressed.
- Training in Generative AI for Video and 3D Modeling: A deep understanding of the fundamentals of video and 3D models will be provided, with practical applications in video generation through platforms such as Runway and Sora, and in the creation of 3D content with tools like Luma AI and Bezi AI.
- Application Project: As a fundamental part of the program, students will develop a final project (FP) where they will apply all the knowledge acquired in a practical setting. This project will allow them to demonstrate their skills in using generative AI for content creation and put into practice everything they have learned during the training.
