RESEARCH PORTAL

Presentation

Founded in 2017, the Economics, Welfare, Enterprise and Internationalisation Research Group (ECEMIN) was established to strengthen Nebrija University’s research capacity and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in economics and business. The group brings together a diverse network of national and international scholars committed to addressing some of today’s most pressing economic and social challenges through rigorous, data-driven research.

ECEMIN focuses on key issues that shape modern societies and global markets, including inequality, education, economic insecurity, wellbeing, business development, and internationalization. Its research combines strong quantitative methodologies with a practical perspective, generating insights that support informed decision-making in both the public and private sectors.

Led by Professor Santiago Budría, the group benefits from the expertise of researchers from a wide range of academic backgrounds and institutions, fostering a collaborative and internationally oriented research environment.

Over the past five years, ECEMIN members have built an outstanding research track record, producing more than 40 articles in leading indexed journals (JCR), publishing over 10 books and book chapters, supervising seven doctoral dissertations, and securing funding through highly competitive research grants. These include three National Research Plan projects, one Community of Madrid project, and several other competitive research initiatives, reflecting the group’s growing impact and recognition within the academic community.
