Degree in Energy Engineering.
The future of energy is being built today
In English or Spanish
We live in a world where energy is at the heart of the economy, social progress and the sustainability of the planet. The energy transition, the digitisation of networks and resource efficiency are not just trends: they are urgent needs that require highly qualified professionals with a comprehensive vision and the ability to innovate.
The Bachelor in Energy Engineering / Bachelor in Energy Engineering was created to train the next generation of engineers capable of meeting these challenges. This programme provides you with a multidisciplinary and rigorous training that perfectly combines the scientific and technological foundations of engineering (mathematics, physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electricity) with the most advanced subjects in renewable and conventional energy generation, storage, transport and distribution.
But we don't stop there. What really sets our graduates apart is their management skills and business vision. You will learn to manage energy projects, analyse electricity and hydrocarbon markets, apply economic and environmental sustainability criteria, and lead teams in complex industrial environments. Our curriculum is designed for you to acquire top-level technical skills while developing the management and communication skills sought by leading companies in the sector.
Taught on campus at the Polytechnic and Social Sciences Campus (Madrid-Princesa), and with the possibility of studying it entirely in Spanish or English, we prepare you for a global job market, with high employability and international projection.
From the first year, you will be immersed in an active project-based methodology (ABP), you will work in state-of-the-art laboratories (including an MIT-certified FabLab) and you will carry out external internships in leading companies in the energy sector.
Visit of Juan Santamaría, CEO of ACS.
Juan Carlos Arroyo Portero
“Formamos a profesionales preparados para los retos reales del sector: desde el diseño de una planta fotovoltaica hasta la optimización de una red de distribución, pasando por la auditoría energética de una industria o la gestión de un proyecto de I+D+i en almacenamiento. Todo ello con una metodología activa, prácticas en laboratorios de vanguardia (incluido nuestro FabLab certificado por el MIT) y la garantía de realizar prácticas externas en empresas líderes del sector energético”.
Why study the degree
Engineering + Project Management
Not only will you master the most advanced energy technologies (solar, wind, hydro, nuclear, storage), but you will also be trained in energy economics, project management and market analysis. You will be an engineer with the ability to lead teams, make strategic decisions and optimise resources.
Learning by doing
We provide you with specialised laboratories (electronics, thermodynamics, materials, renewable energies) and a FabLab certified by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Here you can design, simulate and manufacture real prototypes, applying active methodologies such as Project Based Learning (PBL) and bringing your ideas to life in an environment of constant innovation.
Guaranteed employability
Thanks to our agreements with the best companies and institutions in the sector, you will do internships in companies such as Repsol, Cepsa, Robert Bosch, Ferrovial, Accenture or KPMG, gaining access to a globalised labour market, prepared to work in multicultural teams and in the most cutting-edge energy projects in the world.
