Combining professional and research character for a solid and versatile work performance
The Master in International Conflicts and Crises brings together the necessary elements to understand, analyse and manage conflicts and crises in a changing and complex international order.
The degree offers an interdisciplinary programme with a solid foundation in International Security, to address different types of conflicts and crises, taking into account the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in recent years. It also delves into the roles and dynamics of state and non-state actors (international organisations, NGOs, transnational companies, military and/or private security companies) in crisis management.
The programme provides analytical tools to address global challenges and threats, such as transnational terrorism, nuclear proliferation, resource scarcity, climate change, the emergence of new technologies, the impact of disinformation and social polarisation, among others. It also provides the necessary skills for international crisis management, including negotiation and mediation.
All of this contributes to obtaining a comprehensive vision of conflicts, crises and security in the international context.
The teaching model focuses on personalised attention, the application of theory to practice and the combination of professional and research:
- Professional: seminars or workshops given by professionals in international security and crisis management, and training internships in companies.
- Research: research methodology specialising in international security and the preparation of a dissertation.
This degree responds to the need for specialists in security, conflicts and crises in the professional, research and social spheres, capable of analysing, advising and acting in the international context.
