RCR Arquitectes, WEST 8 and Juan Carlos Arroyo are some of our visiting professors
The Master's Degree in Architecture at Nebrija University is a pioneering programme in Spain and is recognised throughout Europe. It is a programme that completes the student's training and enables them to develop the profession of architect in the context of the EU. The training is based on a foundation of quality, demand and flexibility.
The study programme is structured in such a way that it can be made compatible with professional life. Nebrija students have completed their master's studies while living abroad. We have built an intensely enriching educational framework for student training. The university faculty is mainly made up of PhDs specialising in design, energy and territory. Our visiting professors are internationally renowned, with, among other distinctions, the Pritzker Prize to their credit. RCR arquitectes, WEST 8 and Juan Carlos Arroyo are names that reflect this educational reality.
Their Master's Thesis focuses on the design of a strategy for urban regeneration in areas that have become obsolete, abandoned, but critical for the sustainable development of the city. Specialists from public administrations, neighbourhood organisations and the profession come to our classrooms for critical sessions on the work developed by the students. Madrid City Council, Regional Government, Spanish Government, Ortner & Ortner Baukunst are institutions and entities that endorse this commitment between academia and the transformation of the place.
Our students are able to achieve professional registration once they have completed their master's studies and are also ready to start, if they are interested, their doctoral studies. Research is also a necessary challenge and knowledge transfer is direct between the Nebrja study group "At the oUTSET - Architecture and Urbanism in the Face of Social, Economic and Territorial Transformations" and our postgraduate programme.
All this builds our dynamic educational ecosystem where to transform energy, where to transform society, where to transform architecture, where to transform the future.
"The key is to extract all that the student has within him, not so much in knowledge but in his abilities and how to exploit them to the full".
"At the Polytechnic, we encourage hands-on learning through a 'learning by doing' approach, while establishing a close connection with the business world to develop our students as leaders capable of solidly linking theory with practice".
