Antonio de Nebrija University, mindful of its responsibility towards society, established a Research Ethics Committee in 2002, with the aim of providing a swift and effective response to current and future needs arising in relation to scientific research carried out within its sphere, in order to protect the fundamental rights of individuals, the welfare of animals and the environment, and to ensure respect for the bioethical principles and commitments upheld by the scientific community and enshrined in the University’s Statutes.

Activities of the Research Ethics Committee

The CEI meets regularly to evaluate research projects submitted in response to various calls for proposals and to issue the required reports where necessary. It is also responsible for ensuring compliance with good research practice and for drawing up reports for the governing bodies on ethical issues in research and teaching, as required.
