He holds a PhD in Business Administration and an EMBA, both from the IE. Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, with a concentration in Electronics.
He teaches in the areas of Technology and Operations at several business schools such as IE Business School, NEBRIJA, EOI, EADA, ESIC, etc. He also has different active roles as Tutor of the Department of Business Creation at IE, Member of the Telecommunications Committee of IE and founding partner of the Innovation Forum for the promotion and development of innovation.
He has provided training to many companies and official organizations, such as AEMET, ENUSA, FEMETAL, Professional Associations of Spain, International University Centers for Excellence, RENFE, Ferrovial, ACS, EULEN, John Deere, Navantia, SAICA, Pentax, etc., and to various ministries and regional governments.
Professionally, he has more than 35 years of experience in Technology, Operations and Processes, dedicated in great part to the strategic aspects of technology and its value to the business. He has worked in various sectors, such as telecommunications, distribution, retail, food, electricity, financial, automotive, etc. and has advised relevant companies such as Repsol, Telefónica, Renault, Páginas Amarillas, Hospital Clínico, Autonomous Government, OHL, Banco Santander, Almaraz and Trillo Nuclear Power Plants, Iberdrola, Endesa, Bosch, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, etc. He has extensive experience in organization, management and control of public administration projects.
As an entrepreneur he has created and started up different companies and has participated in the restructuring of several companies, both large and medium-sized, and state agencies.
