Student profile: All applicants who meet the requirements provided for in current legislation can access the Master's Degree Program in Intelligence Analysis and Cyberintelligence, that is, those who have a bachelor's or undergraduate (or equivalent) degree, who are capable of managing a large amount of information, possess succinct knowledge of the different information classification programs and mechanisms, as well as a correct evaluation thereof, must also be able to issue a report that allows, from an operational point of view, to make decisions. The professional demand for intelligence analysts is experiencing an exponential increase, since this figure is not only being implemented in the field of Security and Defense, but also their scope of action has been expanded to an environment more suitable for economic and competitive intelligence.
For this reason, many companies are investing large amounts of their budgets in internal or external intelligence departments, although their core business is not information. Intelligence analysis can lead to better strategic planning and gaining a competitive advantage over the rest of the sector.
The proposal for this Master's degree follows the line of action defined in the National Cybersecurity Strategy, which stipulates the need to expand and improve cyber threat detection and analysis capabilities, so as to allow the identification of procedures and sources of attack, as well as been the elaboration of intelligence necessary for a more effective protection, attribution and defense.
