Learn with a teaching staff made up of professionals from Fremantle and Cuarzo Producciones
The Master's Degree in Entertainment Programme Creation - Fremantle, linked to the needs of the sector, presents a complete curriculum, bold in its approach, practice-oriented and professionalising. In short, the aim is for those interested to learn the dynamics and mechanisms of the different entertainment formats and, in addition, beyond general television or large platforms, to be able to design programmes for alternative channels, apps and social networks.
A complete and daring syllabus in the treatment of certain formats in the subjects, oriented towards practice and taught by professionals. The Master's Degree addresses the needs of the main roles in the sector, from the creation and design of the idea, through its production and realisation, to the marketing and dissemination of the programme. But it also takes into account other professional challenges: such as art direction, casting management, editing and post-production with an entertainment mentality, or the exploration of new formats for specific digital platforms, podcasts and social networks and/or applications.
In today's dynamic and changing audiovisual industry, entertainment programmes are the fastest growing content on TV channels and platforms. Formats such as competitions and magazine shows continue to enjoy considerable interest from viewers; programmes such as talent shows, reality shows or docu-shows are the ones that achieve the best audience results; dating shows, celebrity content, or the acclaimed true crime, raise the debate and interaction of their followers on social networks.
Based on this scenario, the Master's Degree in Entertainment Programme Creation offers the perfect training for graduates to achieve a specific specialisation, or for professionals in the audiovisual industry to reorient their skills and knowledge of the sector towards the design, creation, production and marketing of television entertainment formats.
The skills required to carry out professional work in the entertainment genre are included in our degree: from the design of ideas and their scriptwriting, to the essential knowledge for the production, direction, direction, editing and post-production of television products. To these must be added, in addition, the writing of contents, the adaptation of sets and spaces and the direction of the participating castings.
As these studies are programmed from a practical perspective, the course also includes a number of subjects that focus on specific formats: reality television and reality shows, talent shows, magazines and competitions, dating shows and celebrity programmes, documentaries and true crimes... The course also includes a module that deals with trends and new narratives in this genre: from the creation of new formats for the sound sphere (audio entertainment), to the development of programmes aimed at their consumption on digital platforms, apps and/or social networks.
The global vision of the students is achieved, finally, with the acquisition of theoretical contents that lay the foundations of entertainment programmes: knowledge of the current panorama of this type of formats is joined by the study of new audiences, as well as the management of international rights and adaptations, or the analysis of historical programmes born in different markets.
The degree, recently created, is clearly up to date, which does not prevent the Master's teaching staff -active professionalsin different production companies, television and media outlets - from ensuring that the latest developments in the industry are incorporated into the subjects at all times, and guaranteeing these studies with their career and professional prestige. This is why the final project of the master's degree, tutored by the teachers, is understood as a production laboratory from which to develop ideas and formats, which, together with the obligation to carry out professional internships in some of the most prominent production companies and media in the sector, make this programme of studies one of the most demanding and avant-garde in the educational panorama.
