The Degree in Interior Design at Nebrija University is creative: ephemeral architecture, scenography are areas that intensify a training that develops imaginative responses to a changing world. It is sustainable: materials, textiles, furniture are worked from parameters in accordance with the maximum respect for the environment. It is avant-garde: our projects propose the regeneration and definition of new spaces for work, for residence, for retail, according to the needs of a demanding society. Our students are transformers of the future of design.

Teaching is personalised thanks to the small groups in which the different subjects are taught. A young, prestigious faculty, with an international outlook and made up of a large number of PhDs, promote the careers of talented students within an interdisciplinary framework.

Our Degree is developed, with a pioneering trajectory in the Spanish university environment, in a common framework with architecture, engineering and computer science studies. An enriching polytechnic where our students experience a rigorous and high quality training. The programme promotes full knowledge of the technical and practical aspects of the profession, developing the tools you need to master in order to implement your projects.

In addition, this Degree includes subjects for the management and coordination of economic and communication aspects, taught by specialists such as Marisa Santamaría, Enric Pastor and Gancedo. In this way you will be able to tackle your projects, with all the guarantees of success, from start to finish. This ecosystem is complemented by the presence of key figures in current design such as Nagami, Carlo Ratti and Miguel Milá, together with educational experiences developed with universities such as Central Saint Martins. Professional practice is integrated into the curriculum: Ikea, Porcelanosa, or Vitra are companies linked to this aspect of the university.

All this outlines our dynamic educational ecosystem where to transform design, where to transform society, where to transform the future.

Chosen to design the Ibis Styles de Las Ventas in collaboration with EPSON

Epson, a world leader in printing, and Ibis Syles, a division of the hotel chain Accor Hotels, have launched the Rethink Your Style initiative, a project on the transformation and transition to more sustainable production models in the field of interior design, textiles and personalisation of spaces, through a circular economy scheme, reuse of resources and use of lower-impact printing technologies.
Nebrija University and its Degree in Interior Design has been one of the three design schools selected to remodel a specific space in one of the three Ibis Styles hotels in Lisbon, Barcelona and Madrid.
The project, in which our students will design and transform part of the Ibis Styles Hotel in Las Ventas (Madrid), is a unique opportunity to face a real project, from design to implementation.

    Professional Outings

The professional interest of this programme is evident. The graduate can work in the entire broad spectrum of subsectors related to interior design and its auxiliary industry, where the requirements of functionality are increasingly accompanied by other added factors of aesthetic quality and design that provide a lot of added value at a relatively low unit cost.

In our country there is an evident concentration of population and therefore of residences already built, under construction and in need of refurbishment and interior design. In addition, there is also a high number of hotels, restaurants and cafés, museums, railway and underground stations, airports, department stores and shopping centres of all types and sizes, leisure centres, theatres, cinemas, discotheques and concert halls, office buildings, commercial premises, cultural centres and premises, museums, libraries, exhibition halls, teaching centres, universities, sports facilities of all kinds and an endless series of public places, where the contribution of an interior designer is needed, since the quality and comfort that go hand in hand with design are very important both in the first construction and equipment, as well as in the refurbishment of all these interior spaces.
