The Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Industrial Design and Product Development is backed by a trajectory of over 15 years of teaching studies on industrial design.
Program oriented to learning by facing the real challenges of industrial design, which fosters the creative and decisive attitude of students through active University-Business collaboration. It seeks to train a professional that is inclusive, with imagination and creativity. We can highlight the areas of digital design, materials and manufacturing processes. Research is a basic part of education and, together with internships and multidisciplinary work, it allows students to develop their skills and acquire specific competences, such as artistic expression, use of new technologies, innovation ability and comprehensive management of a project.
Leer +Innovation is considered from all forums and institutions as an absolute necessity, throughout the EU and in our country in particular. Industrial Design is one of the tools to manage innovation in the company and has too often been approached with lightness and an excessively self-taught character. This has resulted in the lack of continuity of the activity and a certain distrust on behalf of the business community.
The contribution of factors such as industrial design can be very useful to the competitiveness of our companies:
All the objects that surround us, from a product packaging to a mobile phone, which go through complex industrial processes, require the analysis and work of engineers in Industrial Design and Product Development.
The engineer in Industrial Design and Product Development must know both the demand of the customer market and the supply of suppliers. In addition to designing or manufacturing in his/her own company, he/she must know how to integrate products and assemble a final set, where not all the components have been manufactured in the company itself. He/she must be, therefore, a good integrator, with imagination and creativity.
