Internships in the best companies in the sector
More than 20 years of experience training creative minds that make design their way of changing the world. Because here you don't just think of solutions... you make them real.
A programme oriented towards learning by facing the real challenges of industrial design, which encourages students' creative and resolute attitude through active collaboration between the University and the Company. The aim is to train a professional with imagination and creativity. The areas of digital design, materials and manufacturing processes stand out. Research is a basic part of the training and, together with internships in companies and multidisciplinary work, allows students to develop their skills and acquire specific competences such as artistic expression, use of new technologies, capacity for innovation and comprehensive project management.
Innovation is considered by all forums and institutions as an absolute necessity throughout the EU and in our country in particular. Industrial design is one of the tools for managing innovation in the company and too often it has been approached lightly and with an excessively self-taught character. This has resulted in a lack of continuity in the activity and a certain mistrust on the part of the business community.
The contribution of factors such as industrial design can be very useful for the competitiveness of our companies:
- The integrating vision of existing technologies.
- The management of intangible communication and image intangibles.
- Systematic recourse to creativity
All the objects that surround us, from a product package to a mobile phone, through complex industrial processes, require the analysis and work of Industrial Design and Product Development engineers.
The Industrial Design and Product Development engineer must be aware of both customer market demand and supplier supply. In addition to designing or manufacturing in-house, he/she must know how to integrate products and assemble a final assembly, where not all components have been manufactured in-house. He must therefore be a good integrator, with imagination and creativity.
"At the Polytechnic, we encourage hands-on learning through a 'learning by doing' approach, while establishing a close connection with the business world to develop our students as leaders capable of solidly linking theory with practice".

"As a 2nd year student I can say that the opportunities offered are enormous; from talks with famous people or companies in the sector, to trips. All of this reinforces and enriches, at all times, the training we receive from the teachers. Another thing to highlight is the good atmosphere that always exists on campus and the closeness of the teaching staff to the students. A great option in the heart of Madrid to train, learn and grow personally and professionally".
