Nebrija University was one of the first institutions in Spain to offer a University Degree in Dramatic Art designed to train, from the university environment, professionals in the performing arts in their facet as actors, scriptwriters and stage directors. Acquiring skills in areas such as Art Direction, scenography, production and audiovisual production.
This exclusive Degree in Performing Arts offers students unique learning opportunities, opening up a coherent path for their incorporation, through the writing of scripts and dramatic texts, into the professional world of stage creation in theatre, film, television and multimedia creation.

The Degree in Performing Arts at Nebrija University trains students in all the essential resources to successfully represent different passages or theatrical modalities, both gestural and textual, as well as acting in front of the television or film camera. We do not train intellectually passive actors and actresses, but rather, through a solid humanistic training, capable of reading the dramatic text in depth, understanding its aesthetic and ideological content, analysing it and teaching it in order to collaborate creatively in its staging by means of a broad base of solid artistic and conceptual knowledge.
Thanks to a renewed and updated curriculum, students can develop their talent, imagination and professional skills through practical workshop exercises and audiovisual projects. All this in a multidisciplinary environment and in close contact with the students of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication. Our young actors, scriptwriters, stage creators, stage directors, producers and directors will work as a team developing fascinating projects of Stage Creation such as short films, feature films, videos, theatre productions, performances and multimedia creations.
In addition, you have the possibility of combining the Degree in Performing Arts with the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, a unique double degree in Spain that reinforces employability.

Nebrija University has specialised workshops for the development of the Arts programmes, including spaces dedicated to Drawing and Painting, the Project Room with its Engraving and Printmaking workshop, as well as Multipurpose Rooms for the Performing Arts, which have a stage space adapted for theatrical activities.
