Complement your studies with the VOGUE Advanced Program for Sustainability

Fashion is a powerful and dynamic industry, which offers continuous job opportunities and has managed, despite the economic crisis, to maintain itself as a sector in continuous growth.

Spain is the fourth country that exports the most fashion, and up to 10% of the Spanish business sector -approximately 6,800 companies- work directly or indirectly for this sector.

Nebrija University's official Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design allows the integration, in the curriculum and optionally, of the VOGUE Advanced Program for Sustainability in the fashion industry (18 credits) that fills an essential gap for the correct transformation of an industry that is one of the most thriving, but also and until recently, one of the most polluting on the planet.

IADE

Nebrija University, together with IADE, makes a perfect match, combining experience and innovation, unifying an eminently practical teaching methodology, with the best facilities in the center of Madrid.

Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España

Nebrija University and the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME) come together to offer top-quality training to future professionals in the sector. This is an agreement with the fashion sector for mutual advice from the academic and professional sphere, exchange of professionals and students, collaboration in the development of student projects, conferences, seminars, etc.

Our country is one of the great references for talent: Roberto Verino, Jesus del Pozo, Ághata Ruiz de la Prada, Victorio & Lucchino, Custo Dalmau, Purificación García, Antonio Miró, Adolfo Domínguez and Francis Montesinos are some of the most prominent names. Also, many of the big international companies have a Spanish label: Inditex, Mango, El Ganso, Bimba y Lola and Gocco continue to gain import in international retail.

Creativity and dynamism are, therefore, some of the hallmarks of this sector, which demands its professionals to have a technical and theoretical training in continuous evolution. In this sense, fashion design is responsible not only for the design of garments and accessories, but also for subjects such as textile design, editorial design, production and illustration of fashion, styling and coolhunting among others, all of which have professional prospects.

The objective of the Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design is to provide students with a work methodology that allows them to design and execute their own projects, both for the business world and entrepreneurship. It is a technical and theoretical methodology that combines the study of history, industry and practical knowledge of the art of fashion.

Development of Professional Competences

The Bologna Declaration formalized the principles on which the European Higher Education Area should be based: quality, mobility, diversity, competitiveness and employment growth.

From this, Nebrija stands as an academic model of reference, educating students with excellent individual behavior, interaction with their environment and motivated by and for constant and continuous training. The Nebrija Institute of Professional Skills works every day to achieve the differentiation of our students through the development of attitudes and skills.

The main objective is for students to achieve the best of themselves through the development and empowerment of their personal skills and resources through personal self-knowledge.

In addition, some of the professional skills that are worked on within the three seminars are those related to interpersonal skills and active communication skills and negotiation, indispensable for our students to know how to transmit ideas, to argue them, to provide information and opinions in an adequate, clear and convincing way.

Within what will be their work performance, other aspects such as teamwork, conflict resolution and project management ability will be worked on.

In the third block, skills worked on are those aimed at increasing the student's employability. They will work with tools and techniques for job searching, and perform tasks that achieve in the student a greater use of their personal skills.

For all this we have currently active experts in selection of people, professionals dedicated to personal and professional training and professionals dedicated to the world of communication and the arts.

In this way, and in a complementary way to his/her specific training, we help the student create a differentiating pattern in the social and business environment in which he/she will be immersed when he/she finishes his/her studies.
