Fashion is a powerful, dynamic industry, in continuous evolution and growth
Fashion is a powerful, dynamic industry, in continuous evolution and growth, a sector that is contemporary to society, which allows it to offer different and current job opportunities. Spain is a benchmark in the sector at international level, both for its talents and for the export of its products, without forgetting that its business fabric generates work directly or indirectly by constantly linking up with other sectors.
The creativity and synergies that this industry generates in society require its professionals to continuously adapt their training. In this sense, fashion design is responsible not only for the design of garments and accessories, but also for areas such as textile design and innovation, fashion illustration, styling, image consultancy and coolhunting, among other facets, all with professional opportunities.
Atelier Nebrija: where our students work as authentic designers
The aim of the Degree in Fashion Design is to provide students with a working methodology that allows them to devise and execute their own projects, to develop in the business world or through entrepreneurship. Understanding fashion as a creative discipline that combines art and communication, we offer a transversal, humanistic and differentiating training, based on the learning by doing methodology, with a professional and expert faculty.
Classroom training is complemented with university extension activities that allow students to come into contact with the profession, and to live first-hand experiences with companies, designers, etc... Among them we organise the Designer of the Year project, the Atelier Nebrija fashion show, the Nebrija Crea awards, and visits to companies in the sector, among others.
The international experience is also interesting for the development of our students, therefore, we encourage you to live the experience of studying a semester or full year in the destinations that the University has signed up for in the United States, Italy, Mexico, among others.
The Degree in Fashion Design at Nebrija University has presented its Nebrija 5.0 collection created by its students under the creative direction of the designer Marcos Luengo in one of the most unique events of the V Centenary of Antonio de Nebrija programme.
"The Degree in Fashion Design at Nebrija University is the first step towards a qualified career where the academic programme is a preparation for the professional world with a wide range of employment opportunities. Following the motto "learning by doing" students explore fashion from the concept of being considered as an art or the prism of fashion as a business, which trains them to arrive at the end of the degree with the skills and competences to undertake projects with absolute professionalism".
