Approach based on practical experience
The Degree in Physiotherapy at Nebrija University trains professionals capable of intervening at all levels of care, guaranteeing the promotion, prevention, maintenance and recovery or functional readaptation of the individual and the community.
The syllabus provides the opportunity to develop basic and specific competences that, based on knowledge of anatomical and physiological normality and an understanding of basic science concepts, allow progress towards specific areas of knowledge and physiotherapeutic intervention.
The laboratory practice itinerary throughout the degree allows students to develop their overall skills in a safe environment, and greatly complements the extensive practical training that from the first courses gives access to the best centres in the public and private health system.
The degree is taught at the Life Sciences Campus, in La Berzosa, providing students with the opportunity to have access to laboratories and practice rooms innovatively equipped with the best scientific and technological tools of the moment. This promotes the teaching-learning process and the acquisition of the skills and abilities necessary for successful employment.
Grade itinerary
From the very beginning, the student has a heavy load of practical activities both in theoretical subjects such as biology or anatomy and physiology as well as in more practical subjects such as basic physiotherapy procedures. Students begin their practical training from the very first day.
From the second year, students will be able to put their theoretical knowledge to the test in practice centres where they will be actively involved. They will be trained in all areas of physiotherapy and in clinical, sports and social specialities. The internship itineraries are dual, i.e. the student is either studying at the university or doing the external academic internships in the morning or afternoon, which allows them to reconcile their studies with other spheres of life (work, family).
The degree is taught at the Life Sciences Campus in La Berzosa, an environment of academic excellence with laboratories equipped with the latest technology, specialised practice rooms and recently inaugurated sports facilities. These infrastructures allow students to acquire the skills and abilities necessary for a successful and high quality labour market insertion.
Programme focused on the individualised learning of the student that will have a positive impact on the quality of life and the well-being of their patients.
